​The Lambda Psi Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., was established in 1980 by Brother Z. L. Grady, at the College of Charleston. This municipal chapter which consist of the College of Charleston, the Citadel, the Art Institute of Charleston and formerly Johnson and Wales, conducts and participates in many yearly community service projects. T​he brothers of the chapter are also known to participate in many diverse student organizations on campus.
