Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on January 16th, 1920 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C.

 

The organization was founded by five women we affectionately call our five pearls: Myrtle Tyler Faithful, Viola Tyler Goings, Pearl Anna Neal, Arizona Cleaver Stemons, and Fannie Pettie Watts.

These five women envisioned an organization that would capture the essences of true womanhood. With this in mind our founders created our four principles: ​
